The clean, clear colors are glossy powder-coat finishes applied over a 6061-T6 aerospace grade aluminum base, which is light, tough, and fully rustproof, so you don’t need to worry about the covers rusting out if you go mudding a lot or drive on winter streets with road salt infused slush splashing up onto your Wrangler’s brakes. Most attach with stainless steel clips that are also rust-resistant, for a more permanent addition to your machine. The covers are made to protect the calipers in all kinds of conditions.
