2007-2013 Toyota Tundra Accessories & Parts
The second generation Toyota Tundra was meant to be the worker’s companion and the off-roader’s hobby truck. Designed to compete with other heavy-hauling trucks, Tundras are capable of towing 10,000 lbs. and their base payload is 2,000 lbs. Most 2007-2013 Tundras also come with V8 engines making some respectable power. The 4.7L Toyota used in the previous iteration makes 276 horsepower and 313 ft-lbs of torque. The 4.0L V6 engine makes 236 horsepower and 266 ft-lbs of torque. The new to the line-up 5.7L is the king of the three at 381 horsepower and 401 ft-lbs of torque.
Depending on your needs, the 2007-2013 Tundra comes in a variety of configurations. Three bed lengths, three cab sizes, etc. Something to note here is Toyota changed their terminology regarding the cab types. The double cab replaces the first generation access cab, and the CrewMax cab is the old double cab. For simplicity sake, the CrewMax is the only cab style with the 5.5 ft. bed. The regular and double cab come with either the 6.5 ft or 8 ft bed.
The 2007-2013 Tundra improved some of the creature comforts from the previous iteration. Larger door handles to accommodate work gloves, for example. The center console can even hold a 15-inch laptop comfortably. Most trim levels include an integrated tow hitch as well as an electronic limited slip differential to reduce your risk of getting stuck in the muck. Towing mirrors were an option as well, and highly recommended if you plan on doing any hauling.
