1. Remove factory/damaged mirror by prying off the fastener cover plate with a flat headed screw driver. (To avoid damage to the paint/finish do not pry directly against the sheet metal door panel with the screwdriver.)
2. Using a Philips Head screwdriver remove the two sheet metal screws that secure the mirror to the door. (If screws appear rusted or damaged apply a good penetrating oil to the screw heads before attempting to remove the screws.)
3. Clean the surface and remove any loose rust and dirt before installing the new mirror.
1. Remove the cover plate for the new mirror by prying it off the mounting plate. Place the new mirror over top the existing holes to ensure they line up. (If holes do not line up, mark the location of new holes using the mounting plate of the new mirror as a template and drill two new holes using a 5/32 drill bit.)
2. IMPORTANT! Before mounting the new mirror; adjust the tension screw located on the base of the mirror to ensure adequate tension to prevent the mirror from coming out of adjustment while driving on rough roads or rugged terrain.
3. Using the supplied mounting hardware/screws attach the new mirror to the door.
4. Install the cover plate. Note: attach the bottom of the cover plate first then lock the top plastic tabs into place.
