Rough Country E-boards
Great running boards. Motors look capable, boards are sleek. I recommend these running boards for the Tundra.

Look, fit, and function great so far!
I bought these for myself for Christmas, Rough country had them on sale at the time so I ordered through them directly but wanted to leave a review since I hadn’t seen much reviews anywhere for the 07-21 tundras. I got them installed in about 3 hours by myself in my driveway after FedEx delivered them. Make sure you look over the brackets because they printed the corner location on each bracket. I accidentally just matched brackets up to the pictures and afterwards realized they had the install corner printed on the brackets and had to swap them around. The magnet trigger was very simple. I was able to get it lined up perfectly first try on each door with the following steps, install the sensor on the body of the truck first. Take a magnet and magnetize it to each sensor with the adhesives tape removed and facing outwards. Close the door then reopen right away. Make sure it’s not pinching a seal, adjust slightly if needed and you should be perfectly lined up. Push the brackets as far up as you can after everything is installed. This will put the steps as close to the doors as possible and leaves the best look. You can adjust the gap from about 1” to about 1/4” by pushing the brackets up all the way in the slots. Instructions were mostly clear, I think they could be better illustrated and a better explanation on some steps for someone who isn’t mechanically inclined but they are sufficient. Operation is smooth as butter. My wife has not liked the idea of me spending this kind of money on running boards but she was sold within minutes of mounting the boards! My truck has a 3/1 lift on it so the steps help my wife get our daughter in her car seat a ton compared to my oem ones I had before.

RC power running boards for 2022-24 Tundra
These fit and work well. install instructions were poor. Perhaps poorly translated chinese? Some of the images are not much better. The machine screws that attach the brackets to the underside of the rocker panel are 10mm and NOT 13mm. Instructions say to run the white signal wire that goes to the drivers side door up through a body plug in the passenger side and across and under the carpet. Unfortunately the trans hump is really angled and my fish tape wouldn't go through that way. I ran the wire under the truck and through a body plug near the driver's door. The wiring that goes to the dash on/off switch is short of getting to the drivers side. But there is 3 ft of wire attached to the switch to make it work. You'll need to fish the 3 ft wire through to the passenger side attach the wires and pull back through, or physically cut corners with the wire coming under the truck so you can barely reach past the console, attach the 3ft of wire and pull excess back to the passenger side to rout the wire properly meaning to the passenger kick panel and then over to the drivers side. I like that the controller has a bracket that mounts to the threaded bolt holes in the rocker. BUT...I had remove 2 hex cap screws and flip the controller to the other side of it's bracket so I could mount to the truck w/out hitting a frame extension on the truck. Sadly the controller and dash switch do not have an option to leave the running boards out with the doors closed. I found that pulling the inline fuse at the battery accomplishes this and I may eventually run another wire/switch to the dash so I can do this without pulling a fuse. It's nice to wash the boards or stand on the boards to wash the roof.

Power Boards - A great addition to your JT
The rough country power running boards look and work great. The 300 lb weight limit per side is great if you frequently have passengers. They drop really quickly and have a delay when retracting. I don’t mind the magnetic actuator. The instructions are appalling. They are vague and haven’t been updated for the most recent version of the steps. If I were to do it again I would pay someone to have them installed.

Product is great
Thank god for YouTube. Instructions has pictures that are for a two door which was sometime challenging. When you finish you have extra pieces don’t be alarmed. Didn’t talk about spacers.

RC Running Boards
Fit well, instructions pretty easy to follow and detailed enough. Would clarify in the instructions a better recommendation or pictures on where to I place step leds and wiring routing. Have been on for a few months and work perfectly. Would buy again

Best Bang for the Buck!
These power running boards have been fantastic. There is no lag time in opening, nor is there any droop in the boards after the door is closed. They're everything promised.

Jeepin Awesome Steps
Got the Rough Country electric steps for my Jeep Gladiator. The install was too much for me so I took it to a local Jeep Modification Shop. Should have looked on here for a recommendation as it would have saved me about $400 and only paid $499 instead of $895 to get installed. They work great and I also like the higher weight limit because they are sturdy. They are very responsive when the door opens and closes. Both myself and my wife are happy.
