How To Install a RedRock 4x4 3 in. Curved Round Side Step on your 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door

Pre-instructions: No drilling is necessary.

Vehicle in photos: 2013 Sport 2 door. 

1. Place the correctly labeled bracket BEHIND the pinch weld. Each bracket has been stamped with, “DR” or “PF”. Example: Driver Right and Passenger Front. Use the HEX head bolt (Allen key fitting) with a washer to loosely hold, only hand tighten to hold in place in pre-existing holes. Be sure not to tighten. You want to be able to adjust before tightening. 

2. Insert a large bolt with a washer. If you have a 2011 or older you will need to insert a nut plate. 2012 and newer have pre-treaded holes in the body. Remember to keep bolts loose until last step. 

3. After you have installed both brackets find the left and right side steps; install 2 bolts with LOCK washers and washer through the brackets into the threaded bottoms of the side steps. Now adjust steps to desired position. Make sure to twist side steps so they are level. 

4. Now that side steps are in position tighten down all hardware on body then tighten down the steps in place. You might need to readjust by twisting side steps to be level before tighten.
