Description
Versatile Strap. The Factory 55 Shorty Strap III isn't like other recovery/snatch straps. Versatility means you can use it in multiple recovery applications. It can be attached to vehicles that don't have recovery points or to make emergency repairs when off-road when bent components like tie rod ends need to be straightened. The Shorty Strap III can be used in three different configurations: straight, basket and choker. The strap's working load limits are printed on the strap for each configuration.
Very Strong. The Shorty Strap II is made of very strong, low-stretch polyester webbing. Because of the low-stretch webbing, the strap does not store energy like a high stretch strap does. With less recoil energy, the likelihood of component failure is reduced. The Shorty Strap III has reinforced eyes and seams. The strap naturally lies flat, which is a bonus because it doesn't roll or twist when wrapped around tubular shapes. The Shorty Strap III is made in the USA and comes with Factor 55's one-year warranty.

Factor 55 Hawse Fairlead standard
This is a solid piece of hardware. Very well made. Finished is smooth and uniform. Fit is exact on a standard Fairlead bumper cutout. Print and logo is clear and tastefully displayed. Mounting surface is flat and true. Face surface is beautiful. As fare as wear, the finish is tough. With a 3/8” synthetic line, the mouth of the fairlead barely shows wear as I’ve used it twice to rig and perform a winch out. Weight is 2.5 pounds. Standard steel winch line fairlead is 9.5 pounds. If you’re looking to upgrade to a synthetic winch line and appropriate hawes fairlead, this is a solid purchase. I shaved 26.5 total pounds off my front bumper by switching to 3/8” synthetic line (85’) and this new fairlead from my old setup of standard steel cable line, hook and roller fairlead.

I purchased the Factor 55 Splicer Shackle Mount because in researching towing/pulling rescue and getting myself out of trouble I was struck by the fact that hard shackles and hooks cause damage. So I reasoned that soft shackles and using the Factor 55 Splicer Shackle is the way to go for safety and performance!
