never had a truck before and before these steps it was rough getting in and out. took me awhile to find ones i would like, i love these, getting in and out is so much better. and the compliments i get, is so amazing. thanks extreme terrain.

Have the right tools...

Product is great & just what I was looking for. Install was more than I expected. The pinch weld is pretty thick steel and I don't have much experience drilling that. Be sure to have cobalt bits, or ideally a cobalt step-bit. If you don't have, it will be worth the investment. Also, as the kit is spec'd for multiple vehicles be sure to use the right nut/bolt assembly for attaching the brackets to the frame. The install on the 2024 Bronco Big Bend required the shortest bolts and thinnest standard nuts; unfortunately, the Stover/locking nuts are too thick - if installed the step won't swing far enough to be horizontal and allow for insertion of the bolts that hold the step to the bracket. Once these hurdles are cleared, the step fits well and looks great.

Terrific side step

This is a great assist for the entry and exit to my two door Wrangler. My wife, who is on the short side, about 5' 2", thinks it is the greatest invention ever.

Side steps upgrade

Great product and well worth the money spent. Highly recommend. I took these to a shop to have them install took them a total of two hours due to the rocker guards having to get removed to fit.

Very sturdy steps. Had to improvise and drill holes on jeep frame. It was not an easy instal.

Wife can now get into my Jeep.

I added these steps to my F150 4x4 years ago and my wife liked them and she asked if I could do the same on the jeep. I did, but if I ever get divorced I will be taking them off do to the fact they impeded ground clearance. But happy wife, happy life.

More information needed

Before you buy the Carr Hoop II Side Steps, do more research on them. They are a fantastic item and they look great. The installation instructions were pretty vague and YouTube didn't have an instructional video on installation. So I had an afternoon of trial and error, test fit and refit. Metal shavings falling in my face from the holes that can only be drilled from the bottom of the vehicle and I currently have a couple holes that need to be welded closed because they were drilled in the wrong spot. Installing these steps is not an impossible task and it really is a great product, but preparation beforehand is an absolute must!
