never had a truck before and before these steps it was rough getting in and out. took me awhile to find ones i would like, i love these, getting in and out is so much better. and the compliments i get, is so amazing. thanks extreme terrain.

Some modifications for a unlimited.

I like the product but I had to make it work. I really wish they made this product for the unlimited clients in mind.

Jeep TJ step up

The steps are heavy duty and good looking. Mounting on my 99 TJ was not as advertised as I did not have a level surface under rocker panel. Had to drill new holes in mounting brackets so bolts went through flat surface.

Gladiator w/rock rails

I was able to install theses 14" Carr Hoop steps on my '22 Gladiator with factory rock rails. However, I didn't go with the recommended position. I went with the other option which centered the steps with the door. I did use one of the rock rail holes, and had to put something in the body to screw the upward screw of the one brackets on each side. Not a perfect fit, but I was able to keep the rock rails on..

Practical and looks great.

When you design a step to fit on multiple SUVs and trucks, it is not a cookie cutter install. I had a garage install it with discussion on method. We ended up welding the installation bracket, and moved the location to center under the door. The instructions were a good start, but you had to know about working with metal to execute the project.

Carr Side Step Install

The Carr Side Steps look and feel great on the Jeep. I contacted someone to do the install and they came back with an offer almost as much as I paid for them. I decided to self install.To mount required some modifications like self tapping screws into the bottom of the sealed frame and sheet metal bolts and nuts. Some different hardware than was provided from manufacturer however easy to locate at Home Improvement Stores. Once started I was fairly Gung Ho. Spent a little more time to get the job done just because of personal saftey concernsl location and sturdyness of the steps. Used some larger holes., Bolts, nuts and screws. Multiple trips for hardware and additional tools for not being so hands on of a person. Overall fairly straight forward of an install. Good product Carr. Xtremeterrain Terrain.com did an excellent job making sure the.product was in stock the order went smoothly an arrived in a timely manner. They also qould have answered any questions should I have needed assistance. Thank you
