Makes the Bearings Sit Right. The crush sleeve is supposed to allow pinion bearings within the differential to fit into their position perfectly. This component ensures sufficient pressure, allowing for the entire assembly to function as intended. Of course, when a replacement is needed, it’s best to install the new part as soon as possible. The Yukon Gear Differential Crush Sleeve will be just the replacement part you need. This front crush sleeve will restore seamless functionality to your Dana 44 powered Wrangler.
Excellent Replacement Crush Sleeve. This front differential crush sleeve is designed to provide seamless functionality and keep a consistent pressure between pinion bearings. The component is designed and crafted by professionals using cutting-edge materials and crafting process. This is a reverse rotation-type crush sleeve for Dana 44 axles.
Hard Installation. Replacing the crush sleeve is a complex task best suited for professionals. The process will involve special tools, and extensive technical knowledge will be necessary to complete it with success. For those reasons, beginners should stay far away from attempting the replacement on their own.
Warranty Information. This premium differential crush sleeve has a 1-year warranty, covering any potential manufacturing defects. The warranty comes from Yukon, the component manufacturer.

Crush slieve eliminators
This is the way to go to set backlash. Very simple to use. And beats the heck out of crushing that crush slieve type.

Only way to go
Worked perfectly. Only way to go in terms of crush sleeve or not. After having to replace my pinion bearing after not crushing the sleeve enough the first time. These are the thing I'll use.

Good- so far
I hate to do it, but I put 4 stars. The Yukon Gears are good products, but poor packaging and missing 3-4 parts were not ideal. Has a local shop do the installation and it has been good so far- after I got it home and programmed it with flash cal. It was stuck in 3rd gear the whole way home( about 15 miles). I got it home and put the flash cal on it and told it 35-inch tires again and 4.8 gears from 4.10 gears on the stock Rubicon. Now it drives fine and is in sync so far. In the process of doing the 15-mile drives and heat cycling the gears now. Mine is on a 2.5-inch lift and 35's and was good driving for 2 years on 4.10 gears. But like one told me before I got the 4.88's when he has the same Yukon gears on his jeep, it isn't a required upgrade, but it is a good one to have.

Review shared from Yukon Gear 32-Spline 1541H Alloy Dana 44 Rear Axle (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon)
Yukon part# YA D44JKRUB-L
The axle shaft comes very well packaged in a foam filled box. It is not completely assembled as the stock photo shows on this site. Axle shaft is bare with the tone ring, bearing, and seal packaged separately inside the foam needing to be pressed onto shaft. Wheel studs not included. Build quality appears top notch as expected.

Works Good
I for one prefer this over the crush sleeve if you've ever over tightened one... :(

Review shared from Yukon Gear Differential Cover; Rear; Dana 44; Non-Rubicon JK; Chrome (66-86 Jeep CJ5 & CJ7; 97-18 Jeep Wrangler TJ & JK)
Good
Would be 5 stars if it came with hardware. Had a hard time finding chrome bolts, o ended up with cheapies from China (I think). One broke when I was torquing it to 20 foot pounds. Now I temporarily have a 9 bolt Dana 44. Aggravated. Also, I got the matching cover for the front diff, which is definitely made from a heavier gauge steel. Would’ve been nice if they were both as strong.
