The two main components in the clutch assembly are the pressure plate and the flywheel. The flywheel connects the clutch to the driveline of the engine on one side and to the pressure plate on the other. If you experience any slippage, i.e., your engine races and the wheels do not spin as they should, it may mean that your flywheel is not catching because it is worn out and must be replaced.
