Security box lock
We were very happy with the security box lock. When we bought our Jeep, used, the lock was missing. We ordered the one from XT and it was very easy to install.

I bought this to replace the oem lock on the center console. It fits but won’t lock unless you take a rotozip to the inside of where the lock rests

Safe and Secure
When I bought the Jeep it had a Tuffy security console but the previous owner had lost the keys. I was always worried about the contents when I left the Jeep unattended and topless. I bought this new lock assembly and installed in in about 5 minutes. It went in perfectly and now I don’t worry about crooks and snoopy people getting into my business.

Good...after some work
Installation was relatively easy, but the cushion and plastic sleeves that protect the edges didn't stay in place. Any movement of the enclosure or contact with them basically treated them like they didn't exist. But the biggest issue was the bushings were oversized (by about 1/4") requiring a Dremel to make them fit into the slots on the sides. A little online research revealed this to be a common issue. Poor QC in my opinion, especially for something that costs so much and is so simple.

Bad Design
I bought this item for my wifes birthday and she was excited to get it installed. The item originally came damaged but was quickly replaced. Once I began the install the left and right sides as well as the back went on easily and without issue. The top is where the problems come in. The four nylon rollers do not turn and are too big in diameter to fit per the directions into their respective tracks. You can try but no matter how much you try to coach the rollers into the track they dont fit. I had to take all the rollers off, gently tap them into their respective slots, remove them, rotate them, and repeat the process several times per roller before reattaching them to the top. The top still put up some resistance sliding the attached rollers into their slots and even with it in place you cannot easily open the top without having to bang it back down with your hand and fight closing it so you can shut the rear door. I really don't understand how their research and development team expects the top to be easily installed so it works. You can't just push and shove on the top due to only one bolt left and one bolt right side mounting it to the floor so ithe whole box moves around if you push or pull. In my opinion it's a bad design and not worth $500 - $600 for the work that has to be put into fixing this product at the consumer level to get it to work.

Great product
Easy to assemble following instructions. Made of quality material and coated with a durable finish. Adds another level of security for those sensitive / valuable items such as camera equipment, drones, tools and test equipment, and many other expensive or hard to replace items. With the floor mat in place it goes unnoticed .

Happy with the purchase
As others have noted, this is not something that simply slips in and out. It took me about 30 minutes to install by myself. Watch the video, I was pounding on it with a rubber mallet to get it in place, and simply needed to pick the plastic up as the installer noted. Not sure I'll ever be able to get the backseat out with this installed. Have not attempted to see if it's water tight, but it's a very tight fit, so it'll be close if not perfect.

This is a well made security drawer assembly. Unfortunately for my needs it is the wrong version. I needed the folding seat version & that took a While to arrive but that's another review. Overall I'm very happy with purchase & I'm looking at using it in my CJ.

Ok lid but needs minor mods
I like having a lockable compartment and the installation is easy. Issues are the plastic tool tray needs trimming to fit the lid. If it is not trimmed, the lid does not fully close and it hits the inside of the tailgate scraping the paint. Another issue is the fact that the piece of carpet is actually just thin felt. It does not fill the void left by the original lid. I will trim and reuse a section of back of the lid.
