Jake: Hey, everyone. Jake here for ExtremeTerrain, and in this video we're taking a look at this TruShield Mesh Front Sun Shade, fitting 2020 and newer JT gladiators. If you absolutely crave that top-off experience in your JT, but don't want all the sun exposure, this is gonna be the right solution for you. Featuring an easy installation and some added protection from those pesky UV rays, this sun shade is really a great buy for any JT owner, and an affordable, easy addition to your kit.If you happen to be like me and you get sunburnt just looking outdoors in warmer months, but you still wanna take the top off of your JT, you're gonna wanna snag yourself one of these. This is a large mesh panel that's designed to fit into sections that the front pieces of your top leave behind. Since this is mesh, it's going to allow you to have that top off and still enjoy the experience of being in the sun, but give you some more protection along the way. Makes driving around on a hot sunny day just that much more pleasant, since you'll still get the wind and the nice feeling of warmth, without the sun absolutely beating on you. And if you pay extra to see, like I do, this will also undoubtedly help keep the sun out of your eyes. This is just one big ol' piece, and it just bungee-cords right into place through these included grommets. So it's super easy to install and remove whenever you want it. If you wanna take it off, you can just undo the cords, fold it right on up, and place it somewhere for safe keeping. It folds or rolls up nice and small too, since it's pretty thin, so you can keep it in the Jeep and have it ready to deploy at a moment's notice. It also is gonna let plenty of light through, as you can see. You can probably still see me through this, even, but it does actually cut the light quite a bit, which is exactly what it's supposed to do.And that is thanks to the construction. This is made from heavy-duty woven 1000 denier polyester. Now, that number indicates a wide, dense fiber, so this is a super strong material, that can hold up to the rigors of being out there on the roof of your Jeep. It's flexible. Again, it's pretty transparent, and that material also has a PVC coating built in, to help keep off those UV rays. It also comes with all of the included bungees that you need, and it's got metal grommets already stitched in here as well, so it's gonna be pretty solid.Pricing will come in at just about $100, and that makes it a super affordable mod that anyone can snag for their Jeep. Whether you just want another option to enjoy your ride, or you wanna keep the sun off your skin for a bit, it's a great, easy mod, that can fit into any budget.Installation gets an easy 1 out of 3 on our difficulty meter, and it should only take you about 15 minutes to get this on. Granted, you will need to remove your hard top, or lower the front portion of the soft top, but the actual installation of the shade itself is pretty darn simple. Just line it up, start doing up some bungees. And we're gonna show you how to get this installed on your JT right now, so for that, we're gonna hand things over to one of our XD customers.Woman: We're installing the TruShield front mesh top. What I started with is I've got this laid out the way it's gonna go, and I've put the long bands in the back, because that is the first step. You take the 17-inch bands, and I've got two on each side. I'm gonna start with those. I do have the next ones laid out. We'll get to that in a second. It doesn't really matter if you go in through the top or the bottom. But at the end of the day, you wanna have these balls on the elastic underneath it. It looks better. I've also put this up, so that this hem side, this edge, is underneath. Just on the theory that if we ever have this sitting out under a tree or anything, should get less junk in it. [inaudible 00:04:00] on the other side. Two 17-inch bands.Okay. Next up, we're doing step three, which is gonna be attach the front mesh top to the vehicle [inaudible 00:04:51] And they didn't say in the directions...helps if you put the visor down. They didn't say in the directions, but there's two possibilities to attach it. You can attach it through this, at the top, the removable top clips on, through, or you can go through this bolt hole. I choose to put it through this clip hole. That's one side. Okay. This one came off. [inaudible 00:05:41] tension on it. Okay. Now that one's on. I'll do one of these up top, just so you can see what I'm doing. So, all you do is you hold this loop. You put the ball through it. If you do make a mistake, and you end up with the balls on top, all you have to do is spin it around. Just pull it, and put the ball underneath. It looks nicer from the top. Do that. [inaudible 00:06:25] Last one on this side. On this side, we have a 12.5, 12.5-inch, and the two 8-inch. I'll do the 12 first. Now the two 8s. That's your other [inaudible 00:06:50] that one. [inaudible 00:07:04] I'm reattaching this one that came off. Okay. There we go. And you can adjust this once you get it on, but that's the installation.Jake: That's gonna wrap it up here for our review and install of the TruShield Mesh Front Sun Shade, fitting 2020 and newer JT Gladiators. Thanks so much for watching, and as always, for all things Jeep, be sure to keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.

Great!
I had 2 Bungee cords missing from box. Other than that it was very easy installation. It does not go all the way to the front. There is a 2-1/2 inch open void. I would have though it would go and cover the whole top area. There is no protection from rain snow mud etc from running down the inside near windshield and ruining electronics. It IS a jeep and they are supposed to be made for all of these things, but we all know they are not making vehicles like they used to! I love this sun shade! Great for those of us with less insulation on head!

Sunscreens work great!
These work very well. Even the top goes on over top and they stay. They go on easily once you take the doors and top off. Which is why you get this in the first place! I have almost NO hair on my head. This does a remarkable job of diffusing the heat and sun. Even for my friends and daughters with a full head of hair, it makes it more comfortable.

Does the job
When the sun is blazing this really does the job and shields the sun. Mesh enough to still see through it but perfect amount of shade to keep your skin from burning.
