Warning: Bumpers are heavy. Make sure you have a suitable jack or use one or two helpers to remove and install the bumper.

Note: If you have the factory option towing receiver you can continue to use it with the TeraFlex RockGuard rear bumper.

INSTALLATION:

1. Support the bumper and remove the bolts holding the factory bumper to the frame.

2. Keep track of the four 12 mm bolts that go into the side of the frame as they will be used to hold the new TeraFlex RockGuard bumper in place.

Note: The TeraFlex RockGuard bumper mounts on the outside of the frame rails. There is a tab with a captive 3/4 nut that slides inside the frame.

3. This is where you need a helper. While one or two people lift the bumper into place, install the factory bolts removed in step 1 into the two forward holes on the bumper mounting brackets. Install them finger tight only.

4. Line up the larger rear mounting hole in the bumper bracket with the nut insert inside the frame and install both 3⁄4 inch bolts with the supplied washers.

5. There is some play in the holes so you can visually align the bumper with the body and the fender flares. Slowly tighten each of the bolts and when you are satisfied with the alignment fully tighten the mounting bolts.

Torque specifications:

Tighten 3⁄4 inch bolts to 120 ft. lbs.
Tighten stock 12 mm bolt to 40 ft. lbs.
