How to Install Teraflex HD Adjustable Spare Tire Mounting Kit (07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK) on your Jeep Wrangler

- 17mm Socket

Installation Instructions:
1. Take off the spare tire (Figure A).

2. Remove the four bolts from the rear side of the third brake light using a T20 torx driver (Figure B).

3. Remove the light connector by unplugging it (Figure C).
4. Remove the tire mount by unscrewing the eight 13mm bolts (Figure D).

5. If using in conjunction with the TeraFlex HD Aluminum Hinged Tire Carrier, install at this point.
6. Place gaskets between the tailgate and mount and loosely install four of the eight bolts removed in Step 4 (Figure E).

7. Place gaskets between the cast hinge and mount and loosely install the remaining four bolts removed in Step 4 and torque all eight bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (Figure F).

8. Slide the mount into the base and install the bolts using a 17mm socket wrench and crescent wrench (Figure G). Torque to 55 ft. lbs.

9. Re-mount spare tire.
