Awesome relocation kit
This one was a bit tricky for me. I had to take a little more time on the tire carrier, those bolts are really in there. The install is pretty straightforward and the instructions that came with it were incredibly detailed and clear. The one critique I have, is I wish the license plate light extension was just a bit longer.

Tons of videos on this product. The install is extremely easy. Easy to adjust. Most difficult part was the wiring harness that stretched, causing the camera not to work. Bought a new harness and it was good to go. Great product.

Clean look
Clean look and a very sturdy product. I paired this with a Rugged Ridge Spartacus tire carrier hinge. Some would say it’s overkill, but I have zero tire rattle and could probably sit on my tailgate if I wanted.

Great for HF (CB), not so great for VHF/UHF antennas
Quality. Here are some hints. a) You can't use both holes for antennas at the same time as the antennas will most likely resonate off each other creating funky performance and SWR. b) Grind off the black powder coat from the bolt areas and the 2 holes for the antenna mounts. (Allows better ground to the vehicle body.) c) Using a 3/8-24 Threaded Antenna Stud Mount and checking with a quality antenna analyzer sweeper, my Rubi *loves* 102in fiberglass and 102in metal sticks and full size Ham Sticks for most of the HF bands at 1.4 SWR or less @ center band. d) Rounding out the other hole for an NMO mount (screw in coax, not 1 piece). Here is where it gets dicey. I could not find 1 antenna to resonate both on 144 & 440! That is because the "coil base" antennas "see" part of the metal on the tailgate and it creates weird SWR due to resonating. I tried a tri band Comet SBB-224NMO and it was flat at 223 MHz, 2m resonated at 153Mhz and 440 was > 4 SWR. Larsen 270 NMO Chrome was 1.6 on 144 and 4.5 on 440. Diamond SG 7500A (Huge monster mobile antenna) saw 1.3 on 144 and resonated at 425Mhz, > 4.5 at 449 MHz (TX portion of repeaters). If you use a mono band, no coil at the base antenna for VHF/UHF, it will most likely work (I did not test it). e) Works great as a waving flag holder! Buy this, but, experiment what antennas work well for you! Best of luck on the trails and 73!

Good reception, looks nice, but busted going through a carwash. If you don't want to have to take the antenna off each time, go with something else.

I tried a shorter version first but had lots of trouble with reception. This is the perfect fit and perfect replacement for factory. Looks good. Easy install. Big appearance upgrade.
