Spare tire mount

It took a few hours to install do to the lack of detailed instructions. My truck only has inside bed rails and no front where the tire could be mounted vertically straight. I also have a fiberglass cap that is installed with slide bars that fit on the bed rails. I had to take out the last bolt on the bed rail to slide the cap mount out. Then the fun began. The metal slides (4of them) for the bracket mount do not come up enough in the rails to begin threading in the bolts. You have to find a piece of flat metal or wood to lift them up. I could not use the flat metal piece that mounts behind the main mounting piece because the mounting bolts were not long enough. Apparently you really don’t need it. The main piece is good enough. I also had to turn the main mounting piece upside down so the threaded mount shaft was centered in the tire. After all was said and done I was able to mount my spare tire at the front of the left side rail. It is mounted at an angle because of the tire wheel well I the bed.

All in all is a very good product. No issue to report as of now but only time will tell.

Great option for quick install

If I was more into hardcore off-roading I would opt for a bumper mount but for my needs this worked very well. There were some light mods needed but overall great product and quality for the cost.

Swing arm spare tire carrier

Overall might be good for smaller tires and wheels. Thought I'd be pushing with 37" tire on heavy bead locks on a rocky bouncy trail. Sticks out away's if you're worried about a departure angle

Great stubby bumper

This bumper checked all the right boxes for me: HD steel but not too heavy; clean, aerodynamic shape (no discernable loss in mpg resulting from deletion of oem valance; modular design; once assembled, is rock solid bulletproof; can easily add stinger in future if i want to; did not have to relocate water pump. That said, install a bit more complicated, as virtually impossible to get all clips nuts aligned with holes. As soon as one is in place, 3 would fall out (of alignment). Too a lot of trial and error. Youtube install videos from Wilco gloss over this part, and plus they install lihhtweight aluminum vdrsion, which must be way more pliable than my HD steel version. Overall happy.

Good mounting kit

I bought this mounting kit for my jerry can, it was an easy install that anyone can do. Fits my TJ just well and now i can carry extra gasoline when i go Out on the trail. Would definetely recommend it. I just think its a bit overpriced but to be honest it was worth it.
