T-REX manufactured this upper grille insert using a honeycomb pattern that stands out from the rest. In addition, this upper grille insert is surrounded by studs embossed with the X-Metal branding for that complete custom look.
Developed From Mild Steel. To ensure that this Stealth Laser X-Metal Series Upper Grille Insert stands up to the demands of on and off-road driving, T-REX built this upper grille insert using mild steel for utmost durability. To provide added support, the frame is made from 12-gauge steel designed to stand up to the roughest abuse. To protect this upper grille insert from the element, T-REX applies a black powder-coated finish.
No Drilling Required. Installing this T-REX Stealth Laser X-Metal Series Upper Grille Insert requires a direct bolt-on installation process. Since no drilling is involved, you can finish installation in an hour.
Backed by 2 T-REX Warranties. Unlike other aftermarket brands, this T-REX Stealth Laser X-Metal Series Upper Grille Insert is backed by not one, but two warranties. Excellent Look!!
I was looking to upgrade from the SR5 grille but keep the front sensor working as it should. Absolutely looks excellent. The grill was simple to install and looks 100 times better that factory grill, definitely would recommend.

Emblem does not fit
As others have stated, the instructions are terrible (misding a page) and the oem toyota emblem does not fit at all in the grill. Maybe the grille is outdated but it doesn't fit 2020 Tacoma SR.

Great, won't fit all logos
Easy install and great quality, although my 2023 logo does not fit into the grille. After some research, an older version of the 3rd generation logo will fit. I bought one of those logos but am having trouble now with the TSS not always cooperating. Good buy overall, but beware of your logo fitting.

Looks great, but has some added headaches
Like someone else said in these reviews, the TRD Off Road doesn’t come with the plastic trim piece, which Toyota sells for $150. Then upon installing the Toyota emblem, none of the holes match up so it can’t sit in the grill properly, and there is nothing to screw the emblem into…? Luckily I have a buddy who can fabricate a piece of metal I rig up the emblem to, but fair warning. It looks awesome, but some of the pieces don’t match up and the instructions are god awful

Great product, easy install
love the new grill, Looks great, and easy to install. No issues with the TSS after install works as it should. The only issue I had was the Off-Road factory grill does not have the outside trim piece. I purchased the factory part from a local Toyota dealership. other than that a great product that looks great and doesn't affect the TSS system.
