Love love the look of these! I was able to YouTube a video of stock bumpers, that removal was the difficult part! These bumpers are easy to install! Needed a hand holding it straight, but otherwise very easy.

Looks good , it took longer to get the old bumper off than to instal the new one, the brackets to install the new bumper could have been designed better in my opinion, but over all like the look.

Old vs New Tube Bumper
Had to replace my old Smittybilt tube bumper installed in 2004. The current iteration of their design is about a foot shorter than what they used to make. Also the mounting feature is no longer a C shaped single piece and has been replaced with two pieces of plate. The current mounting feature also doesn't work well with the stock cast recovery hooks. I had to make a spacer for each side so I could remount the hooks. The tubes are also much closer together now which makes mounting a front license plate a little tricky. Overall fit and finish of the new bumper is good and it went on without issue, aside from the hook spacers. It just seems like you get a little less for your money now with the current design.

Great for its intended use!
This bumper is not a heavy duty rock crawler bumper. This is so the person that likes the more stock look, with less weight and black for me to match my wheels. I did not drill the other bolt holes. I used the same amount of bolts that held the much heavier factory bumper. That said I never plan to use this as a recovery point. This bumper is mostly for looks for me. It fit great and was easy to install. I removed the old bumper while I was watching for this to arrive, made it much faster to plan ahead. I don’t usually post reviews, I'm more of the reader. I hope this was helpful. Im still learning now that I caught the jeep wangler fever (junky)
