How to Install Smittybilt Soft Top Storage Boot (97-06 Wrangler TJ) on your Jeep Wrangler

The Smittybilt Soft Top Storage Boot took a good bit of “massaging” to work into place. It is a very tight fit. The zipper is located on the inside of the boot, closest to the rear seat back. Having the rear seat out or folded down may make installation easier. 

1. Before.

2. Remove the soft top windows. 

3. Fold the sail flaps over the top. 

4. Collapse the top into the rear of the Jeep. 

5. Line up the roll bar cut out on the passenger side. This is where the zipper starts.

6. While stuffing the soft top into the Smittybilt Soft Top Storage Boot lightly pull on the zipper. 

7. After the boot is fully zipped. Take the flaps with snaps located on each end and secure them. The snaps where weak and would not hold over all of the soft top bows. I found I needed to route the top flap under the top bar. 

8. After both sides are snapped.

9. Installation complete.
