Description
Rock Solid Side Steps that Protect. The Smittybilt 3 in. Sure Side Step Bars - Textured Black are rugged side step bars that not only make it easier to jump in and out of your Wrangler, but also provide protection for your rocker panels during extreme off-roading activities such as rock crawling. It also gives your Jeep a tough off-road appearance.
Rugged Construction. Each Sure Step bar is made from 3x.05" stainless steel tubing that is finished with a dual stage powder coating in a textured black and e-coated inside and out so that no rust can form and to preserve the finish over the toughest terrains.
Bolt-On Installation. No special tools are necessary, simply bolt each bar to factory mounting locations with the hardware that is included.
5 Year Limited Warranty. Smittybilt covers all their parts with a limited 5 year warranty. Please contact Smittybilt directly for full details and limitations.
Application. The Smittybilt 3 in. Sure Steps Side Bars - Textured Black fits all 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 door models.

Difficult Install
Comes with backing nuts welded to a plate for the main connecting bolts for use if your Jeep does not have a nut already welded behind the hole. I was not skilled enough to hold the bracket, insert the bolt, and hold the provided backing nut with plate, to every get it started. After an hour, gave up and took it to my mechanic, who installed it for a very reasonable price. very pleased with the final product and install. I think a slightly improved backing nut and plate could eliminate some frustration (or patient pills for owners like me).
