Brand | SkyJacker |
Shock Lift Height | 1 to 3-Inch Lift |
Shock Type | Non-Adjustable |
Sizing. Skyjacker's Softride hydraulic shocks are more than capable to handle the trails along with your rig. The heavy duty, twin-tube construction is designed to withstand severe punishment, and the expanded fluid reservoir reduces internal temperatures and foaming for consistent performance. This rear shock is for Jeeps with a 1 to 3 inch lift.
Properties. Maintain your lift kit's performance with Skyjacker's shocks. This Softride shock automatically adjusts to changes in terrain whether it's a pitted trail or ill maintained pavement. Equipped with the unique, multi-stage velocity sensitive valving, this shock allows for maximum articulation while off-roading and a smooth highway ride home. The twin-tube body, 5/8 hardened double chrome rod, internal rebound bumper, and oversized piston head are ready to hit the trails when you are.
Notable Features. This shock will also provide a nice accent to your Jeep's look. The red polyurethane bushings assist with shock response, and alongside the red polyurethane boot, a full set will turn heads. Trust your off-road cred to Skyjacker.
Application. Fits 1997 - 2006 TJ Wranglers with 1 to 3 inch lift systems.

Replacement shocks
Replaced my 10-year-old SkyJacker Shocks with the same model. The original shocks were still in good condition, just the bushings had worn out. Relatively easy to install. My only complaint was the rubber dust covers were stretched over the body of the shock when they arrived. It took quite a bit of effort to slide them back down to the end and they were still stretched out. Otherwise, good shocks at a good price point and would have given 5 stars.

A little tricky to install.
Install would have gone a lot smoother if the top bolts weren't rusted. I broke one bolt off and had to use heat to remove all the bolts. Nice product that fits well and adds a nice lokk.

Great Price
I can't really give a review on the shocks operation as I have not gone off road yet, just street driving. Installation was much easier because I did not have to fight a gas charged shock in compressing it to fit.

Simple
Very simple to install I did not have problems like I have seen with others on top bolts, mine just came out very easy

Great Ride
I actually replaced my Old Man Emu Nitro shocks with the SkyJackers. With the Old Man it rode like I had over inflated tires. Now rides smother.

Great product
Shock look great, don’t come with new bolt which would be nice, but not the end of the world. If you can get the old bolts out it’s a fairly easy install. Mine didn’t quite go that way. But a great product.

Just what I was looking for
I decided to lift my Jeep 1.5" in front and 1.25" in the rear. I was looking for a ride similar to stock, and I needed to replace my factory original shocks with 125k miles. After breaking them in for a couple hundred miles, I have been very pleased over the last couple thousand.

Smooth, control
Love these shock on my 97 TJ, just right, really smooth out my ride and still yielded full control around corners, and sharp turns on road. Off road what another welcomed difference, a joy to ride over bumps whoop de doos, wash board roads. No more tank feel. Thanks

buy them elsewhere
First of all, it took extremeterrain.com over a week to even process my order, and it wasn't until after I called them that they decided to ship the item. Compared to what I am used to with Amazon, this was pretty bad. Reminded me of online shopping from 10 years ago... As far as the product goes, the ride is much firmer than I expected, but they do seem to work fine. The installation was not bad, however, getting the shocks put together was a little difficult since I don't have a press.

Satasfied
The shocks work as described. I have had them for a few weeks now, and they seem to work and ride well.
