How to Install a SkyJacker Replacement Steering Stabilizer on your 1987-2006 Wrangler YJ & TJ

KIT CONTENTS:
1 - 7900WS Stabilizer
2 - 83161 Mounting Brackets
4 - Stem Bushings
2 - 142120 Washer/Nut Packs
2 - 5⁄16" x 1" x 21⁄4" U-Bolts, Nuts, & Washers
2 - 5⁄16" x 11⁄4" x 21⁄4 U-Bolts, Nuts, & Washers

1. Place wheels in straight forward position.

2. Place boot onto stabilizer, but do not secure boot with boot tie at this time.

3. Install both brackets onto each end of stabilizer using bushing & washer packs provided.

4. Pull the stabilizer rod out EXACTLY half-way out. Stabilizer must be kept out exactly half-way during installation.

5. Mount stabilizer in place (Refer to Photo). Install U-bolts (5⁄16" x 11⁄4" x 21⁄4" around track bar & 5⁄16" x 1" x 21⁄4" around tie rod assembly), but do not tighten yet.
NOTE: Be sure the passenger bracket is located directly below the tie rod clamp. (See
Arrow Below) After brackets are in position, tighten the U-bolts.

6. Turn wheels fully to the left & right to make sure stabilizer is adjusted properly. (Refer to Step # 4)

7. Place boot tie around boot & secure.
