You Need New Shocks Anyway. In stock form, the Wrangler is a respectably capable piece of machinery. Even on the stock tires, it does an excellent job of climbing over sticks, stumps, and some rocks. You want to get it into its natural form, though. That means a little more than some meaty tires. You want to make sure you've got a shock that's built for the use you've got in mind. The Skyjacker Nitro 8000 is exactly what you're looking for.
All The Shock You Need. The YJ Wrangler might look wimpy with the stock tires on board, but you can get a lot of meat under there with the stock ride height. The right backspacing sneaks a 31x10.50 under there. That's about right for something you depend on for on and off-road driving. Thankfully, this shock's good for the stock suspension and one-inch suspension lifts for those who want a little more rubber to roll with.
Comfortable, Yet Capable. The good thing about pairing your Wrangler with Skyjacker Nitro 8000 shocks is that you're getting the best of both worlds. As you know by their reputation, these are outstanding shocks for blasting trails in your double-duty Wrangler. There's no compromise to on-road comfort, though. Driving over speed bumps, potholes, or railroad tracks won't put a beating on you or the passengers.
Fitment. Fits 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ models.
