Quality, Function and look great
These scoops are top quality with excellent engineering put into them and will last a lifetime. They are heavy duty, thick and extremely functional that won't let water just poor into your engine yet will allow air to flow in or out when sitting. I looked all over until I found these and since I have the 3.0 Diesel they will help considerable on heat. If you are on the fence hop off and get them. P.S. they look good but not monstery. install I put the hood mat back on and cut through with a utility knife and it was perfect and 1 minute per side w/o messing with template

Looks great and works great!
I bought these to change the look of my jeep a little and to increase airflow. Love the look and the concept but I don't think it really adds any power other then maybe keeping the engine cooler. Used with sb cold air. It is a tad annoying having to put the blockers in when it rains or is super dusty but not anything that would make it not be 5 stars.

SB Hood Scoops
Hard to connect the inner plate to the outer plate because the screws need to be a little longer.. went to Home Depot and got 3/4 inch screws and installed in less then an hour..

Nicely made
Ok definitely use the two guide screws. I found it helpful to have someone hold the air intake in position while I screwed the bottom piece on. Only reason I did not give it all 5 stars is when you cut the insulation you need to cut away enough so no insulation between the bottom and top. I would have preferred a design that allows you to onlu cut as much as the hole in the hood which would mean the bottom and top would cover over the edges of the insulation-a cleaner look. But you need to cut away enough so the bottom fits snug to the top. I also would like to see larger sized screws rods and nuts

More power
I honestly don’t know if the cold air intake and vents will increase my power. I was interested in better airflow, and looks. I think it looks great and I can hear more engine noise when driving which is always a plus. So far so good.

Helps intake system, & cooling of engine compartment
Installed this the next day after installing their intake system on our JLR 2.0L Turbo. Adds that little extra to the intake system performance. And, you get engine cooling over the turbo, You do hear it, mainly from the outside... but the performance gain is well worth it. I'm rating it overall high, but I did have installation problems. They want you to cut the insulation so that the pieces clamp it along with the hood. This created problems with getting the screws in place. Hence, the studs I kept in place for the filter intake side. Fought it for a half hour with the screws, then put the studs in & used the wing nuts (I have a wingnut driver & tightened fully). The 2 pieces for the scoops on each side should simply clamp solidly to the hood sheet metal. Keeping them properly located & getting the screws in would be much easier. The online instructions show cutting the insulation larger than where the screws go in, but smaller than the under hood piece. Looking at the uninstalled pieces, they don't appear to clamp tightly to the hood by itself. Still love the system, just a pain to install, especially the intake (passenger) side.
