How to Install Rugged Ridge Tire Carrier Heavy Duty, Textured Black on your 1987-2006 Wrangler

1. Remove spare tire. On vehicles equipped with a third brake light, remove wiring cover inside the tailgate. Note where each wire is attached, then disconnect and route wires out of the cover bracket.
2. Pass Third Brake Light wiring through tail gate. Remove Third Brake Light assembly.
3. Install (3) M12 Bolts and (3) M12 Lock Washers into Tire Carrier Bracket from the back side as shown.
For 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern wheels, use the bottom hole, and the two closest to it.
For 5 x 5.5" bolt pattern wheels, use the bottom hole and the two furthest from it.
