How to Install Rugged Ridge Steel Upper Door Skin Frames on your 1997-2006 Wrangler

Due to the many variations in body alignments the new upper door frames will need to be tted to your vehicle before the upper door skin is attached.

Step 1. Install the upper door frame into the lower half door. Close the half door and check around the edges of the door frame for alignment. If adjustments are needed you will have to remove the upper door frame to make the adjustments. Do not make adjustments with the frame in the door.

Step 2. To adjust the door frame properly you will need a at even surface. To adjust the door frame away from the windshield you will need to stand the frame vertical on the ground with the windshield side on the ground. Stand on the lower portion of the frame and using slight force adjust the frame in the direction illustrated. Adjust the frame in small increments and test t after each adjustment until the desired t is achieved.

Step 3. To adjust the door frame towards the windshield you will need to adjust in the opposite direction as illustrated using the same procedures as in step two.
