Description
Specs. This Rugged Ridge 32 tooth, long shank speedometer gear for cable speedometer models can recalibrate your speedometer as a result of upgrading to larger tires or changing out your differentials' gears. A plethora of parts are needed to keep a YJ in working order, but if you're willing to go the extra mile to keep your old friend's parts working in sync, this gear is a must have. This gear meets or exceeds all OE standards and specifications.
Construction. Rugged Ridge fabricates this 32 tooth long speedometer gear, and a range of others with different number of teeth, out of high quality steel. Protected by a 5 year limited manufacturer's warranty, this component is designed to be a full and effective replacement.

Speedometer gear
This gear is just what the doctor ordered. Had some re-gearing performed front and rear. Went from 3.07 to 4.56, running 33 x 12.50's. Guys at the local store couldn't get their new gear to fit in. This one went together easily. Now speedometer is accurate over the whole range.

Speedometer is correct
Worked perfectly correcting my speedometer. Just make sure you install it with the gear on the front side (closest to the transmission) of the output shaft gear. If it is installed on the lagging side (toward the back of the transfer case) of the output shaft gear the gear will be pushed out of the output shaft gears and become striped immediately.
