      Description

      Key Features. Swap out your old, worn out stock setup with these Soft Top Windshield Retainers from Rugged Ridge. They work just as good as the original parts, mounting on the left and right sides of the windshield so they don't obstruct the driver's view at all. Since the components were designed using the OE parts, they fit perfectly and install easily, while also maintaining the stock look and feel of your rig. The finish is durable, so you can rely on these parts to keep working great for years to come.

      Construction. The Soft Top Windshield Retainers are made of high quality injection molded plastic that meets or exceeds the OE specifications. That means they should withstand regular use for quite some time, and are backed by a 5 year limited warranty. The plastic has been UV treated, so as the retainers sit out in sunlight they should've fade or crack easily. One end of each retainer is curved, just like the stock pieces, and the retainers feature screw holes that line up with the mounting points on the windshield frame.

      Installation. Most people should be able to install the windshield retainers without much difficulty. It will take you some time to successfully completed the job, so set aside about an hour. You will need a screwdriver and the original mounting hardware or matching screws from the hardware store to complete the installation process. Just remember that the curved end of each retainer should be pointing upward, not down, making lining up the holes in the winshield frame with the ones in the retainers pretty simple.

      Application. Rugged Ridge made the Soft Top Windshield Retainers only for 1987-1995 Jeep Wranglers (YJ).
