PLEASE REVIEW ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN.

Step 1. Raise the hood and hold open with the factory prop rod. Position the bug deector against the hood as it would be mounted. Place some small pieces of tape on the hood by the corners of the bug deector to mark the mounting location.

Note: If the retaining screws are going to be used you will need to mark the holes that will be drilled at this time. Use the pre drilled holes in the bug deector to mark the area to be drilled.

Step 2. Clean the mounting area on the hood with rubbing alcohol.

Step 3. Mount the bug deector using one of the following methods.

Method A: Adhesive tape- Peel back approximately 2” of tape liner on each side of the tape strips. Place bug deector on the hood at the marked location. Once the bug deector is in position remove the remaining protective tape liner o each strip of tape. Apply frim pressure to the bug deector against the hood to ensure a good bond. Do Not install if outside temperature is below 65F. or over 100F. Allow part to sit overnight before driving.

Method B: Adhesive tape and Screw- Drill a pilot hole using a 5/64” drill bit for the four mounting holes. Use caution when drilling holes. Holes only need to go thru the rst layer of metal. Extreme pressure while drilling may cause damage to the outer hoodsurface. Attach the bug deector to the hood with the screws and washers provided. Do not overtighten.
