The wall thickness is 0.070”, which provides a total of around 1/8” of steel to protect the lower doors/rocker panels. The toughness of these steps is further reinforced by the 3/16” laser-cut plate steel mounting brackets. All metal parts are coated in rust-defying black powder-coat, and the nylon step pads are UV-treated.

Some Drilling to Attach. The Rugged Ridge Textured Black Side Steps are supplied with heavy-duty mounting brackets, plus a hardware kit. It is necessary to drill several mounting holes for the bolts, which are self-tapping and should be hand-torqued with a torque wrench.
