      Description

      Construction. Space age tufted polypropylene fabric is the main component of Rugged Ridge's deluxe honey carpet kit, though there is also jute backing. The edges are electronically surged so that the individual strands will not come loose and unravel the carpet. A vinyl heel guard is built into the driver's side front floor cover, to protect the fabric from wear when the gas and brake pedals are in use.

      Specs. This carpeting has a 5 year limited manufacturer's warranty and fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models. It is sturdy and long lasting. The fabric suppresses the growth of mildew and mold, even when the Jeep has gotten a bit damp during its adventures. It also resists some solvents and other chemicals, though spills should be cleaned up quickly. The carpets block sound and thus offer users a quieter "ride."

      Application. Applying the carpet takes 2 to 3 hours, and usually involves removing the seats to make application easier. Fitment should be exact, and the electronically surged edges mean that cutting the carpets smaller can potentially cause unraveling. The kit does not include spray adhesive, but this is available at any auto supply store or hardware store. Fitment includes 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ.
