Intake. There are many advantages to the Rugged Ridge polished aluminum cold air intake. They include the following: adding horsepower, improving throttle response, and increasing acceleration. You get all these performance advancements while lowering gas consumption. This product replaces the restrictive factory air box – increasing fuel economy and adding the performance upgrades listed above. The black powder coated heat shield works to keep away engine heat, debris and dirt. Cold air is drawn through the high-flow conical air filter.
Filter Specs. The included high-flow conical air filter is not only reusable, but it has advantages over other reusable filters. Namely, the dry panel design doesn't ever have to be oiled – which means your air flow sensor won't be damaged by excess oil.
Additional Features. Installation is simple. The bolt-on will give you instant power you desire. Depending on the application, you can see an increase in horsepower of up to 10 and improved torque of up to 12 feet-lbs.
CARB Certified. Best of all, this Cold Air Intake is 50 state legal under CARB EO Number D-779.
Application. This polished aluminum Rugged Ridge Cold Air Intake is specifically designed to be used on the 1991-1995 Wrangler YJ models equipped with a 4.0L engine.
Please Note. This Cold Air Intake does not work with the factory ABS option.
