How to Install Rugged Ridge Polished Aluminum Air Intake on your 1997-2006 Wrangler

7. Breather Hose (1)
8. Small Hose Clamps (2)
9. Rubber Isolater Mount (1)
10. Flat washers (2)
11. Flanged Nuts (2)


1.Original Air Box and Intake Tube will need to be removed.
2. Unclamp Air Filter Cover
3. Remove Crankcase Breather Tube
4. Remove Clamp on Throttle Body
5. Remove upper section of filter box and set aside
6. Remove factory air filter


7. Remove 10 mm Nut holding the air box, and remove air box.
8. Remove upper passenger side radiator mount bolt.
9. Unplug electric fan connector.


10. Mount Heat Shield using the bolt removed from the upper right hand side of the radiator. Use the rubber isolater bolt to secure the bottom of the heat shield to the body.
11. Mount the tube to the top of the rubber mount.


12. Install the rubber coupler to the throttle body and intake two with two large clamps.
13. Install the small hose to the intake tube and to the motor with two small clamps.
14. Secure the heat shelid to the rob brace using the zip tie.


15. Install filter using large hose clamp.
16. Start vehicle and inspect for leaks.
