1989 Wrangler

Great replacement

Had to upgrade this for my new tires and gears on my jeep. Fit perfectly and fixed my speedometer back to being 100% accurate.

Make the speedo, right!

After putting in 4.88, gears from the stock, 3.07, the speedometer was going crazy thought I was going to twist it out of the dash. Putting in the new 41 tooth gear brought it down to the correct speed port perfectly.

Think Eccentric

I received the part, pulled the sensor, removed the old gear and put in the new one. I replaced the sensor exactly as I had taken it out. drove the jeep and speedometer didn't work. Put old speedometer gear back in and speedometer worked. To make a long story short I noticed on the 4th try the speed sensor is eccentric, meaning, where the speedometer gear pushes in is off center of the speed sensor. I Rotated it 180 degrees and pushed it into the transfer case and speedometer worked. With this knowledge, time to install would be 10 minutes.

Works perfectly

Bought this to correct speedometer after installing 4.56 gears with 33" tires, speedometer is right on now. Took about 5 minutes to install. Watch You Tube video to make sure it's timed correctly.
