Description
Construction. The 20 inch by 60 inch Rugged Ridge receiver hitch with cargo rack is designed to fit 1987-2006 Jeep Wrangler YJ and TJ models. It is manufactured out of steel, which is finished with powder coating to provide high resistance to moisture, corrosive substances, and general wear. The carrying capacity of the rack is 250 lbs. The manufacturer offers a 5 year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
Specs. This cargo rack is designed to add another choice for carrying up to 250 lbs payload to Jeep Wranglers. The rack itself has holes regularly spaced along its perimeter, which can be used to attach cargo nets, tie downs, etc. (no tie downs are supplied with the rack).
Application. The Rugged Ridge cargo rack attaches with simple bolt-on assembly which takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete. First, the 2 inch receiver is mounted to the tow hitch area with the included bolts, and the wiring harness is fitted. Then the cargo rack is fitted and fixed in place with bolts.

A nice addition
Easy to install - I removed the bumper just to say I could, but easily installable without removal. Looks good and is functional for its purpose. The electrical portion was simple as well. Hardest part was getting under the jeep.

Good Product but....
This is definitely as advertised. It is a solid hitch and pretty straight forward to install. ONE BIG WARNING HOWEVER: I have a 2016 Wrangler Rubicon. It had a spacer plate in between the bumper and the bumper cover. This was not a big deal; however, it took a little extra "elbow grease" to get it off and then attach the hitch. My bumper cover did not come with the additional fastener bolts on the inside brackets. It did make it easier to detach. The hitch bolts are used to secure the bumper cover to the bumper along with the two side bolts on each end. I am very pleased with the result, and it is ready to pull my ATV! Overall good quality and value.

Rugged Ridge 2" hitch with wiring harness for JKU
Received the hitch in good shape. Seems well made with nice thick finish. Easy to install, and the wiring was super simple. Just unplug the tail light, plug the harness onto the light and light harness, and done.

Rugged Ridge Trailer Hitch with wire harness
Well made hitch. Installation was simple with only 4 bolts to rear frame of my JLU. Included wiring harness was well made and plug and play ant the rear. Had to run a wire to the engine compartment for the hot lead however was not a problem. Everything you need is included in this kit. With a Wrangler rated 3500# Towing capacity and the hitch rated the same it was a logical choice. Would recommend

I got this hitch to use for a bike rack. When the shop that installed it did so, they told me it was decent but don't pull anything big with it, i.e. a travel trailer or heavily loaded trailer.
