Hot to Install a Rugged Ridge Hitch Kit, 2 in. Ball On Your 2007 - 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK

1. Start by removing the back bumper by using the 16 mm socket to loosen 6 bolts total. 3 bolts on each side, indicated below. 

2. Once the 6 bolts are removed you will see the metal frame on the Wrangler where you will install the 4 bolts. 

3. Install the four bolts by placing the flat washers in between and putting Loctite on the Nylock Nuts. 

4. Install the bumper by installing the 6 bolts initially removed. 

1. Start by removing the four screws on the driver side brake light with a Phillips screwdriver. 

2. Disconnect the taillight connector. Connect the male part from the wiring kit into the taillight and female part to the original part that was connected to the taillight. 

3. Take the trailer connector and run it through the taillight opening and down the foam insulator to the trailer hitch and slide into position. 

4. There are small holes located on the frame, take the retainer clips and push them into place. There are a total of 4 of them. 

5. Place a spacer between the nut (with loctite) and the receiving end and tighten.
