1. On the factory driver side door, disconnect the electric window connector (if applicable) by releasing the red tab and pull down. Repeat this step for passenger side.
2. Remove the door strap from inside the vehicle (Careful, don’t let the door swing open and hit your jeep). Repeat this step for passenger side.
3. On the factory driver side door, remove the two torx nuts from the bottom of the hinge pins with the torx ratchet. You will reuse these torx nuts on the tube doors. Open the driver side door half way and carefully lift the door upward off the hinges (Window can be up or down. I prefer window down especially for one person). If hinge pin is sticking, you can put a little grease in the pin area and carefully swing door back and forth. Remember, your strap is off so be careful.
4. On the tube doors, lightly lubricate the door hinge pins. Position your door hinge pins directly above the door hinges. Slowly lower the door hinge pins into the hinges. If the hinge pins do not slide all the way down, slowly rotate the door back and forth until they are fully in the hinge. Repeat this step for passenger side.
5. Now you will get the torx nuts you removed from the factory doors and install them on the hinge pins. Repeat this step for the passenger side.
6. Now make sure the rotary latch is in the open position. Make sure the latching mechanism and the factory door striker align properly. If they do, close the door. If not, you may have to loosen the four bolts that secure the rotary latch and adjust it. If you have to do this, be sure to replace the door striker to its original position before re-installing your factory doors. You need to open and close the door several times to make sure the door is working properly. Repeat this step for passenger side.
7. Attach the loop from the Adjustable Nylon Strap to the hook on the inside of the vehicle and then onto the hook on the tube door. There are several loops on the strap so you can adjust the amount of door opening you want. Repeat this step for the passenger side.
8. If you feel the tube doors rattle too much, you can install the optional Anti-Rattle Bumpers. With your tube doors closed, place the Anti-Rattle Bumper between the door and the door jamb. Find a location that gives you a snug fit (open the door slightly and slide the bumper up slightly if you want a really snug fit). Mark the location of the Anti-Rattle bumper on the tube door (erasable marker or tape). Open the tube door and mark the center of the tube door so you can drill a hole.
9. You will need to drill a 3/32” hole. Attach the rubber bumper with the supplied screw.
