How to Install Rugged Ridge 60 in. RGB Lighted Whip w/ Controller on your 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK; 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL

1. Remove spare tire

2. Install CB Antenna mount by removing the two 13mm hex bolts on the top right of the spare tire mount, and installing the CB antenna mount using the hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers that are given. (Seen in the photo in step 3) 

3. Unscrew the lighted whip from the whip mounting cylinder.  Place this in one of the holes of the CB antenna mount 

4. Put the washer, lock washer, and 7/8” nut onto the whip mounting screw. 

5. Tighten with a 7/8” Wrench 

6. Attach the whip to the whip mounting cylinder.

7. Screw the supplied wire to the whip. 

8. Run the whip wire through the rear tailgate. 

9. Run the wire through the area that the third brake light wiring is held. 

10. At this point, you will need to find a place to splice the whip wire into.  I chose to splice it into some lights that I have that are underneath the seats, but it will vary from person to person.
