      Royal Hooks Door Handle Review

      Ok, these are relatively new to the market so when they were installed I had a lot of people approaching me complementing the handles. They look sharp.... 5 stars for appearance. Now, beware the cold. Maybe they should stress these handles would be great in Florida.... but not New England (or any other cold region). Frost causes a freeze on the handle so you cannot push the button in to open the door. It's brutal and takes a longer amount of time to thaw than the stock handles. Are they worth it? Depends on where you live I guess..... or just keep a thermos of hot water on you

      adjustments needed

      2 of the posts needed to be longer for the driver and passenger door. They do not protrude far enough through the door if they are threaded all the way into the handle. This is easily solved with partially threading them with some red thread lock. Also, the plate for the rear door slightly overhangs the new handle when you transfer it over. I had to cut a bit of it off with a hacksaw. Again, not a hard fix, but for what these cost I'd expect not to have these sort of manufacturing issues. Other than these install issues, nothing to complain about. They look great and feel solid. Useful tip for unclipping your window: Take your door off and do that part with the door upside down. Just have your hand in the way so the window doesn't free-fall.

      Only 4 hinges for a Gladiator????

      I bought these hinges for my husband for Father's Day. He opened them today. Not only are they not a full set for a Gladiator (which has 8 door hinges); they have nicks on the sides that make it seem as if these were previously purchased. Not good. Sending back.

      Royal Hooks tailgate hinges

      Manufacturing is good, design is strong but the alloy color fades from the sun. I bought red alloy and now they’re a dark pink shade. As much as they cost you’d think they would hold the original color. The same goes for the door and hood hinges made by Royal Hooks.

      Aluminum Hinges

      They were easy to install, look nice an look like good quality. My only dislike is when they machined them, they have these ridges or designs on them. I wish they would have machined the pockets smooth.

      Great hinges

      These fit perfectly on my 2023 JL. They look great and feel very well built. The hardest part of the installation was getting the wiper arms off so I could access the rear bolts.

      Great Towing Rescue Tool

      I tend to help people in need a lot in my day to day life. Mostly folks who have either broke down and need a quick tow or need a little extra help getting to a gas station. Upon a recent experience I had my strap and shackle set up on an anchor point on the receiver hitch and when helping someone out they were not paying attention during the towing process and hit the brakes too hard causing me to bend my hitch. Afterwards I started looking for other towing means and found this little nugget. I haven’t put it to use yet but I am thankful I have it for when I help another brother/sister in need.
