STEP 1: Using factory provided tool kits, remove rear camera lock and
spare tire.

STEP 2: Remove the 7 brake light bracket screw and pull apart to separate bracket. Re-route wire inside to provide more length. After moving wire re-install the 7 screws.

STEP 3: Remove the 4 screws that holt the brake light bracket to the spare tire bracket. Move the bracket up by aligning the bottom hole on the brake light bracket to the top hole on the spare tire bracket. Re-install 1 screw on each side to keep bracket up, leaving top hole on brake light bracket empty. Save other 2 screws as spare parts.

STEP 4: Use the 1⁄2” socket and remove the 8 factor bolts holding the spare tire bracket on the back of the tail gate. You will have 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom. When removed carefully support bracket while installing new bracket.

STEP 5: Hold up Rough Country bracket and line up the 8 factory holes to the 8 holes on the NEW bracket. Using factory hardware, re-install 8 bolts with deep socket into the new bracket to hold it on. 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom.

STEP 6: Carefully remove wires from factory wire slot by pulling up and slide into the wire slot on the Rough Country bracket.

STEP 7: Line up holes on spare tire holder to the Rough Country bracket and use the hardware provided from Rough Country to install the new tire holder. There will be 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom.

STEP 8: Re-install spare tire onto the spare tire carrier using factory provided lug nuts. Install back up camera lock and turn on vehicle to check that the brake light is working. Install is now complete.
