Range, Strength & Safety. Rough Country Rear Upper & Lower X-Flex Adjustable Control Arms for 0-6.5 in. Lift deliver superior range, strength, and safety for all of your off-road applications. They feature upper arm X-Flex joints that can pivot up to twenty degrees and lower arm joints with an amazing thirty-five-degree pivot range.
Adjustable Retainer Rings. Rough Country’s adjustable control arms feature adjustable retainer rings that allow you to preload the bushings prior to installation. The amount of compression and the friction can be adjusted at any time using the included adjustment tool.
Quality Construction. These adjustable control arms are built using strong high-quality material that's corrosion resistant. They feature ball-in joints and a 2.5-inch diameter body that can handle any off-road beating your Wrangler can take. These control arms are completely rebuildable which increases the service life of the joints and ensures easy adjustments and maintenance.
Straightforward Installation. The installation process for these adjustable control arms is straightforward and can be accomplished with a few basic hand tools. With a basic amount of mechanical ability, installation can generally be done in around 4 hours.

Superior Control
I installed the Rough Country 3.25 inch lift kit on my 97 Wrangler Sport a few years ago. After installation the pinion angle was very close to the limits of optimum, causing premature universal failure. These adjustnable control arms arrived in two days and are pretty impressive. Their robust, welds look good, and have a zerk fittings to grease at the articulating end. Directions? The directions are terrible. I used the dementuons provided and the track bar wouldn't clear the gas tank. I spent at least an hour scouring Jeep sites on the internet trying to figure out length setup. Now each lift hight, skid plate drop, and tire combination will require it's own measurements to achieve optimum pinion angle while parked on a flat surface. I found an entry that summed it up perfectly on the site, "Wrangler Forum." This is for the rear end adjustments that worked on my Dana44 axle. Start with the lowers set to 16 to 16.25 and uppers a 1/4 longer than stock. I checked bump stop, track bar, and differential clearance which was good. I put everything together, with bolts just snug. Now the jeep is sitting on the ground. I looked at he pinion angle and had to unscrew (lengthen) the bottom arms 3 turns, to match the differential and transfer case pinion angles. I then found two points from the front and rear axle for squareness. My jeep has been gently rolled and measurements were less that an an 1/8 of an inch off between sides when finished. This is what worked for me. Each lift and tire setup will require different measurements. Look for information, make a chart with that information, and pick the best starting point for your lift setup. Then adjust from there checking articulation clearance and square. The ride is so much better. Stiffer, smoother, and far less binding while offloading. I highly recommend these adjustable control arms.

Easy to install and they work great
These were straight-forward and included easy to follow instructions, with one exception... I'm not sure what amount of lift the directions assume, but if your Jeep is stock height the directions are not right. For stock height you need to set the upper control arm to 13 1/4 inches (center to center) and the lowers should be set at 15 3/4 inches. Other than that everything went great. It's taken care of the play at the rear axle and gives me the option to add a lift in the future. The only mods I've done was installing flush grease fittings (NAPA u-joint fittings) to tuck things in a little closer, and reverse the bolt direction on the rear-upper arms to keep from needing to pull the bolt out through the coil spring.

Rough Country X Series 6 inch lift with adjustable arms
The kit is straightforward fairly easy to install easy to follow directions the only downfall is you reuse a lot of the factory bolts I've had this kid on my Jeep for approximately 40,000 miles now daily driver 80 mile round-trip daily set the cruise at 70 and ride out I did add the slip yoke Eliminator rear sway bar disconnects and a double carbon driveshaft there are better kits out there what day are three times the money

Just what I needed
I had purchased a 3.5” lift and installed it myself. The Jeep was dog-legging down the road because the rear axle was not straight. This fixed the issue perfectly.

A decent budget minded upgrade from stock. I bought the R.C. adjustable control arms to replace the super lift lower and stock upper control arms. I'm not sure I would use them on a hardcore rig, but for the amount of wheeling and the trails I go one they should do the job. Installation wasn't difficult and took an afternoon. Overall a decent product.

Rough country control arms
Never got them installed. Threads had a burr inside and would not screw together. Instructions must have been for something else even though it said TJ at the top because measurements given were completely wrong. They need to proof read before they send them out. Didn’t want to buy a tap an die so I sent them back.
