      Description

      Get That Feeling Back. Giving your manual transmission Wrangler TJ a lift or dropping its transfer case can cause issues with gear shifting. Specifically, your shifter might pop-out of gear, or it won’t engage in 2nd, 4th, and reverse. The traditional solution to this issue is incorporating weld extensions, which while effective is not easy to do. The Rough Country AX-5 & AX-15 Transmission Straight Lower Gear Selector changes all of this. This gear selector is half an inch longer than stock and extends the shifter height by .05 inches, while moving the base forward by 1.25 inches. More importantly, this lower gear selector is way easier to install than weld extensions.

      Solid Alloy Build Quality. The Rough Country AX-5 & AX-15 Transmission Straight Lower Gear Selector is manufactured from a solid bar of alloy using advanced machining. The component looks almost exactly like the factory selector. The only difference this selector’s taller stem, to which the shifter lever attaches. This selector is then polished to ensure a smooth engagement.

      Direct Installation Without Modifications. The Rough Country AX-5 & AX-15 Transmission Straight Lower Gear Selector installs directly onto your transmission. No modifications to your Jeep are necessary, and standard hand tools are all you need for proper installation.

      Application. The Rough Country AX-5 & AX-15 Transmission Straight Lower Gear Selector fits all 1997 to 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ with manual transmissions.

      Application Note. The Rough Country AX-5 & AX-15 Transmission Straight Lower Gear Selector will only fit AX-5 and AX-15 transmission models, and will not fit NV3550 transmissions.
