Description
Extreme Duty Tie Rod Kit. RockJock's Currectlync Modular Extreme Duty Tie Rod is a direct bolt-in replacement for the stock tie rod which provides an immediate upgrade in steering feel, stiffness, and strength.
Adjustable. Unlike the factory and some other aftermarket Tie Rods that are fixed, RockJock's Currectlync Modular Extreme Duty Tie Rod is adjustable at both ends. This allows you to precisely dial in your suspension settings, specific for your lift/application, to ensure you stay safely on the road or the trail.
Heavy Duty Construction. This Extreme Duty Tie Rod is manufactured in the U.S.A. from 1-5/8 Inch diameter SAE 4130 heat treated chromoly steel tubing for ultimate strength. RockJock then completes their Tie Rod in a semi-gloss black powder coated finish for long lasting corrosion resistance. This Tie Rod features 1-1/4 inch thread forged steel greasable tie rod ends at both ends.
Modular Design. The massive tie rod ends thread into the tie rod end body so that they may 1) be replaced without replacing the whole rod end saving cost, 2) the same threaded in tie rod end is used at both ends of the tie rod, so only one spare would have to be carried, and 3) they may be unscrewed from the rod end bodies and screwed in from the other side if a flipped tie rod was desired.
Bolt-on Design. RockJock engineered their Currectlync Modular Extreme Duty Tie Rod to be a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock tie rod. Installation can normally be completed in about 3-4 hours’ time with just basic hand tools. The tie rod will need to be adjusted to the proper angle for your specific lift. Please note that an alignment is recommended after installation.
Application. This RockJock Currectlync Modular Extreme Duty Tie Rod is designed to fit 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.
Technical Note. Flipping the tie rod would require retapering the tie rod end holes from the top of the knuckle. Rod end taper is 1.5-inch per foot.
