Description. The Retrax IX is a flush-mounted retractable tonneau cover constructed of durable aluminum slats linked by a strong elastomer hinge, helping to eliminate the opportunity for water and debris to enter your truck bed. When combined with the UV-resistant matte finish powder coat, the cover helps keep your truck bed and cargo protected and secure in the roughest of conditions. The Retrax IX's convenient release handle allows the cover to roll into a custom spiral canister at the front of the bed, protecting the cover and reducing wear and tear. Sealed roller bearings inside the aluminum rails deliver smooth, frictionless operation with no binding and virtually eliminate springs and failure-prone moving parts. Retrax IX's unique, adjustable latch stops allow you to secure your cover in any three positions of your choice for the ultimate in hauling capacity and flexibility, letting you use your truck how you need to. Retrax EQ
Great bed cover easy install only problem was they did not include the c clamps for the tundra trax system to mount to truck so I had to get the manufacturer to send them so I would call and check if you order

Retrax
Really was easy to assemble and install, took longer than it should have because I kept getting interrupted. The one thing I didn’t like are the drainage hose connections. I had to come up with a way for them to stay in place as I didn’t want to drill the holes bigger. Easy trip to the hardware store!

Retraxone XR - The best
I recently purchased this cover and was a bit hesitant regarding the install and did I acutally want a retractable cover. The install really only took about 30 minutes and ten of those were arguing with my helper! LOL! Install very easy! Fit perfect. I love the retractable feature. I do get a little water in each corner near the cab. I did not connect the drain tubes and that is on me. In addition, it is worth noting, the great customer service I received before the purchase. I did a chat with one of the sales people to ask a couple of questions. They were spot on!

Great Choice for a new cover
I love the look it could be an inch or 2 longer but does everything that it should do and does it well. The only water that I see coming in even going through a car wash is only coming in through the sides of the tailgate not around the cover itself. As others have mentioned I would recommend drilling out the drain holes to fit the drain tubes prior to installation. A second set of hands to get in in place and lined up is very helpful as well

RetraxONE MX Tonneau Cover
When the RetraxONE MX Tonneau cover arrived on my front porch I dropped everything I was doing and immediately tore into the box to start putting it together and installing it on my Taco. I could not locate a YouTube video specific to a 2017 6' bed install so relied exclusively on the manual. The install manual does a pretty good job of breaking down the install by vehicle type and comes with specific hardware for the type of install. As long as you flip to the right page and follow along then you shouldn't have a problem. Unfortunately, I did not go to the Tacoma page to start the install and I started on the generic install instructions. Once I realized that there were vehicle specific instructions I went to the correct page and ended up having to backtrack a little which added a little time to the install. I was able to complete the install by myself, but having a second set of hands would have been helpful. I would also suggest increasing the size of the bed water drain holes holes in the corners of the bed for the water drainage tubes prior to installing the cover. I've only had it installed for a couple of days now and have found that the locking latch will sometimes stick on cold frosty mornings with the push button being very difficult to get to unlock. Locking the cover in different positions requires a bit of force on the locking mechanism to get it to fully seat. I also ran my truck through a carwash and the bed had quite a bit of moisture in there. I am not sure if this is a result of leaks in the cover seals or if it's from around the tailgate. I need to investigate the source of leaks more, but I'm not ready to put items back there and expect them to stay dry yet. One last suggestion is to invest in an automatic tailgate lock that is tied to your key fob. I put one on when I installed the cover and love the added security of the cover and auto lock gate.
