How to Install RedRock 4x4 Cold Air Intake - Textured Black (97-06 4.0L Wrangler TJ) on your Jeep Wrangler

(1) - Heat Shield
(1) - Air Filter
(1) - Weather Stripping 18”
(1) - Vacuum Hose 15.5”
(1) - 3"-2.5" Coupler
(3) - 3.5" Hose Clamps
(2) - 1.125" Hose Clamps
(1) - Stud Mount M6 threads
(2) - M6 Flange Nuts
(4) - M8 Washers
(1) - M8x1.25 20mm Bolt
(1) - M8 Flange Nut
(1) - Rubber Plug
(1) – 1/2" Rubber Grommet

Remove the factory intake tube by loosening the hose clamp on the throttle body and air box. Remove the PCV line from the intake pipe.


Unclip the (4) clips to remove the top of the air box.


Remove the air box by removing the (3) bolts securing it to the vehicle.


Remove the bolt holding the radiator bracket to the radiator support.


Install the heat shield using the supplied M8 bolt, washers, and nut. Reinstall the factory bolt through the heat shield mounting hole. Install the supplied weather stripping across the top end of the heat shield.


Install the intake tube mount through the fender using the supplied mount, washer and flange nut.


Install the silicone coupler and clamps to the throttle body side of the intake tube. Loosely install the intake tube to the throttle body.**Note: 97-04 vehicles install the plug into the intake pipe. 05-06 vehicles install the Rubber grommet into the intake pipe for the IAT Sensor. Fasten the intake tube to the mount using the supplied washer, and flange nut. Then tighten the hose clamps on the throttle body.


Install the supplied vacuum hose, trim for best fit. Secure using the supplied hose clamps.


Install the air filter using the supplied clamp.
