How to Install a RedRock 4x4 Cold Air Intake Kit on your 2012-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK

Step 1:

Unplug your factory IAT sensor located on the bottom of the intake tube.


Step 2:

Slide the PCV hose off of the factory air box.


Step 3:

Remove the (2) 10mm bolts holding the intake to the fan shroud.


Step 4:

Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the hose clamp holding the intake tube to the throttle body.


Step 5:

Pull the entire intake assembly up and away from the vehicle.


Step 6:

Using the (6) supplied nuts and screws, assemble the new hear shield as shown.


Step 7:

Add the supplied screws and spacers to the heat shield for mounting in the factory position.


Step 8:

Remove the 8mm screw holding the fan shroud to the radiator. 


Step 9:

Install the heat shield using the factory mounting positions and secure with bolts.


Step 10:

Add the supplied rubber gaskets to the top of the heat shield and in hole for the intake. 


Step 11:

Remove of OEM IAT sensor and transfer it over to the new intake tube noting position.


Step 12:

Install the supplied coupler to on the intake and the throttle body and secure it on the vehicle. 


Step 13:

Reinstall the factory PCV hose onto the new intake tube and secure with new clamp.


Step 14:

Install the new filter and secure it into position using the supplied clamp


Step 15:

Using the supplied hose tie downs, re-secure the coolant overflow hose to the fan shroud.
