How to Install a RedRock 4x4 Cold Air Intake Kit on your 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler JK

Step 1:

Unplug your factory IAT sensor located on the side of the intake tube. 


Step 2:

Slide the PCV hose off of the factory air hose. 


Step 3:

Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the hose clamp holding the intake tube to the throttle body.


Step 4:

Pull the entire intake assembly up and away from the vehicle. 


Step 5:

Remove your factory IAT sensor from the factory intake tube.


Step 6:

Install the IAT sensor into the new intake tube assembly.


Step 7:

Using the (6) supplied nuts and screws, assemble the new hear shield as shown


Step 8:

Remove the 8mm screw holding the fan shroud to the radiator. 


Step 9:

Install the heat shield using the factory mounting positions and secure with bolts.


Step 10:

Add the supplied rubber gaskets to the top of the heat shield and in hole for the intake. 


Step 11:

Install the intake tube onto the coupler and onto the factory throttle body. 


Step 12: 

Secure the intake tube to the heat shield using the supplied spacer. 


Step 13:

Reinstall the factory PCV hose onto the new intake tube and secure with new clamp. 


Step 14:

Plug in the IAT sensor that you previously installed into the intake tube. 


Step 15:

Install the filter and tighten down using the supplied hose clamp.
