How to Install a RedRock 4x4 Rear Double Tube Bumper Guard on your 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK

It is recommended that you have an additional person available to help during this installation, parts can be awkward to hold and support by yourself. Block wheels and set parking brake before beginning work.


Remove the 2 upper stock 15mm, bumper bracket, bolts from underneath the vehicle.


Remove the 4 stock 15mm stock bumper mounting bolts that are located on each side of the frame. Remove the bumper from the vehicle.


Insert the short side of the U bolt into, then out of the frame on the drivers side of the vehicle.


Attach the left side bracket to the u bolt. After reinstalling the stock bumper use the upper stock 15mm bolt to secure the top rear of the bracket.


Insert the bolt with extension wire welded to the head, through the frame, into the cross bar and drop it down into the existing hole in the frame.


Attach the right side of the bumper guard to the bracket and tighten all the hardware.


Reinstall the stock rear bumper.


Hold the bumper guard in place and bolt it to the driver and passenger side brackets. Secure all hardware.
