For Big Tires. Carrying up to a 40-inch tire on the back of your 2007-2018 Wrangler is made straightforward with the Poison Spyder Bare Steel Body Mount Tire Carrier, which is built to avoid the problems of other tire carriers, both body mount and swing-out. The tubular steel Tire Carrier attaches to a vertical latch plate that fits on the driver's side, creating a firm, stable base for the carrier rather than bolting to the thin, weak sheet metal like most carriers. Despite its hefty build, the carrier can be opened one-handed, and won't sag or cause other problems even when very heavy off-road tires are stored in it. The license plate is relocated to a mount in the carrier's center.

Durable Engineering. Built from burly 1.5-inch DOM (drawn over mandrel) steel tubing for high strength, the Poison Spyder Tire Carrier comes in a bare steel format in this version, enabling painting or powder-coating in your choice of color. The plate portions, such as the latch assembly, are fabricated from 1/8-inch or 3/16-inch plate steel, CNC laser-cut and brake-formed for clean, precise results. A license plate delete cover is also included to hide the original license plate location.

Bolt-On Installation. Fitting your JK Wrangler regardless of whether you have a stock or aftermarket bumper installed on the rear, the Poison Spyder Tire Carrier bolts on securely with the included hardware.
