Hey, guys. So today we're checking out the Oracle 7-Inch High Powered LED Headlights with the White Halo, the Clear Lens, and the Black Housing fitting all 1997 to 2018 TJ and JK Wranglers. So if you are not a fan of your factory headlights, whether you have a lack of performance when it comes to driving at night, you're not necessarily happy with that factory incandescent bulb, or you're looking for a refresh when it comes to the look of the front end of your Jeep, then these are going to be a great choice to take a look into. Now, these will have a full LED set up. So if you are struggling with driving at night and visibility at night, these are going to have a drastic or a significant improvement over at the factory headlights. Now, as you can see, this is also going to come with that bright white LED halo that is going to act as a daytime running light, that is going to not only help you out with styling, but also make you more noticeable while you're driving around on the street for safety purposes which is definitely important there. Now, speaking of styling as well, these are going to come with a nice black housing, making a very sleek and stealthy appearance to the front end of the Jeep whether you have a TJ or a JK and it will match with any other blacked out lighting or blacked out accessories you already have on your Wrangler, kind of tying the whole front end together. Now, when it comes to pricing, these are going to come in at roughly $300 for the set. And I personally think with the quality of the construction and what you're getting out of the lighting setup, that that is definitely worth that price point. Now, other options on the page that may be a little bit less expensive, or even more expensive, just are set up a little bit differently when it comes to the internal structure of the headlight itself. So you may see options that are going to come with multiple LED projectors, you may see choices that are going to have light bar options, split options, and then you're gonna see choices that are not going to come with the halo at all, or they may come with the halo but it may illuminate in a different color. They may have RGB, so it may illuminate in all different colors or they will be in an amber color. So it kind of comes down to your personal preference when it comes to the design of the headlight. However, if you're looking for a full LED headlight that's going to offer you a ton of styling and a ton of lighting performance for the front end of your TJ or your JK, then these are gonna be a great choice. Now, when it comes to install, I'm gonna give this a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you no longer than an hour to get the job done in your driveway with some very basic hand tools. And I would like to mention, there is a little bit of wiring that we will have to do for that LED halo, but it's incredibly simple and I'll walk you right through it. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for my install were a trim removal tool, a wire tool, and a Phillips head screwdriver. So in order to access our headlights, we do have to remove our grille, so our first step to that is just unplugging our turn signals. So right behind our lower corner of the grille here, we're just gonna unplug this harness. You need to make sure that the red locking tab is pulled all the way back. Then we can depress that clip and pull back. We can do the same thing for the other side. Next, what we can do is take out these six clips that are holding in the top of our grille. I'm gonna use a trim removal tool. You could also use a flathead screwdriver depending on what you have available. At this point, the grille is completely disconnected, it's just held in by a couple of retainer clips so we just have to give it a good pull forward. So our next step is to remove the four screws that are holding in the retainer ring that's essentially holding in our headlight here. Now, the factory hardware is going to be a T-15 Torx screw so you will need to use a T-15 Torx socket if you have factory hardware. We have removed and replaced our hardware, so I'm going to be using a Phillips head screwdriver, but there are four of these screws that we'll need to remove. So once they're all removed, what we can do is take out the headlight. I'm gonna put the retainer ring to the side, we are going to be reusing that, then we can disconnect our factory headlight by just pushing up on that red locking tab, pressing down on that clip, and pulling back.So before we go ahead and install our new headlights, I did wanna stop down and tell you guys a little bit more about them, especially next to our factory headlights sitting on the table side by side, show you some of the similarities and the differences between the two headlights here. Now, starting off as just a brief overview of our factory headlight, as you guys are probably very familiar with, this is going to have the stock styling and the stock performance. I'm sure if you are taking a look at these headlights, you are kind of fed up with the stock performance and are looking for something a little bit better, which this is going to give you.But just as, again, a brief overview, this is going to have the standard clear lens, we're going to have a chrome housing on the inside, and it's going to have that factory incandescent bulb. Now, again, that is going to give you some pretty okay performance. However, if you live in a more rural area, if it's a lot darker where you live, or if you're just going on dark backroads and trails and looking for better performance, this is where this new headlight is going to come into play. The incandescent bulb is also going to look a little less modernized considering that that incandescent light is going to give off more of an amberish or yellowish hue. So moving over to an LED is not only going to help out the aesthetic, but again, help out the performance. So moving over to our new light here, as you can tell, this is a big upgrade when it comes to styling. You're gonna have a clear lens, but you're also going to have a black housing, which is gonna give you a more stealthy appearance to the front end of your JK. You're also going to have a large projector lens for the low beam and the high beam. Those are going to help out when it comes to the more uniform light pattern that you're getting with this LED. The LED is going to shine a lot brighter, and again, it's going to give you some better styling in comparison to the pretty plain stock headlight that we have here. Not to mention, this is going to be a little bit more durable than our factory headlight. It's going to have an aluminum dye cast housing on the back, which is going to help out with heat dispersion when it comes to that LED inside. We're also gonna have a polycarbonate lens on the front, so if you do plan on taking your Jeep offroad a lot, the polycarbonate lens is going to hold up a lot better than the factory one. It is going to still offer full transparency, so you're not going to hinder your lighting performance should I say, but this is going to be a lot more durable than the factory one. Now, where I really like this and where this headlight really shines is going to be with the LED performance. Again, you are getting a brighter cleaner light, you are going to have a more uniform light pattern. So with an incandescent bulb, sometimes the light pattern can...or the beam pattern, should I say, can get pretty scattered and that's kind of where you're losing some of that performance. That's not gonna be the case with these LEDs, especially with that projector lens. And again, they are going to look a lot more modernized with a bright white color temperature over the incandescent bulb's color temperature which is usually a lot lower and can have that yellowish hue to it again. This is also going to come with a halo or an LED halo which is going to help you out with styling and also make you more noticeable while you're driving around on the street. This is going to be pre-installed in the headlight already, you don't have to worry about doing any of that in the inside. So this is going to be pretty sealed, dustproof, and waterproof, which I do really like, and then we're going to have to do some very simple wiring on the back to make sure that the LED halo is illuminating when our running lights come on, or our daytime running lights, should I say? So overall, a very big improvement from the factory one. They are gonna be the same size but you're getting a ton of lighting performance out of this and a ton of styling at the same time. So what do you say we go ahead and install our new headlights? So before we actually head over to the Jeep, we do have to add the provided spade connectors onto our wiring here. This does come with two leads out of the back of the headlight and this is gonna be for our halo. We're gonna run this into our marker light, and then we also have another wiring harness, this is going to be an adapter harness. As you can see on the back, this comes with an H4 connector. So this little connector is an H4 to an H13 adapter here. Now, this is going to be strictly for the JK models, so we will be installing this. However, if you are installing this on a TJ, you're just going to be using that H4 connector for your factory harness, but I'm just going to pop this on real quick because we are installing this on a JK with an H13. Sometimes these can be a little bit of a pain to go on, just gotta give it a little bit of force to do that. And then what we can do is add our connectors. So in order to splice these into the marker light on our fender, that's where I'm gonna do it on the JK, you can do it wherever you'd like on the TJ, this little clip is going to attach to the factory marker light wiring harness, and then this, which is going to be attached to our wiring harness, is just going to plug in the back there, that's how it's gonna get that power. So we are going to take the provided connector, pop that in, make sure that that has a good connection with the metal on the spade connector, and then I'm gonna take a pair of crimping tools or some crimping tools. And we can just crimp that down, give it a little tug, make sure that that is connected correctly. All right. So once those are on there, we can repeat that for the other headlight. And then once this is complete, we can head over to the Jeep. These are going to be pre-stripped. However, if you find it necessary to take off a little bit more, we can totally do that.So on our JK here, we are going to wire this into our side marker light. Now, right underneath the inner fender liner, as you can see, we don't have an inner fender liner on our Wrangler, however, what we can do is just unplug the side marker light, and this is the wiring harness that we have to attach it to. There's gonna be a white wire, it's gonna be our power, and then the black wire is going to be our ground. Now this is where you would take this clip, you would wrap it around making sure that it's in that channel, and then you would take a pair of pliers and clamp it down. Now, I am not gonna do that because a little bit higher up on our harness, we already have these installed. So I'm just going to clip our spade connectors that are on the headlight already into these. You just wanna make sure that they are for the right one. Black goes to black, and then red goes to the white wire with the green stripe. And then once those are plugged in, then we can plug in our main harness and get our headlight mounted up.First, we can take our connector, our main connector, make sure that it snaps into place. We can set that red locking tab, then we can position the wires back into the headlight bucket here. Now, you wanna make sure that this is upright and there's gonna be little tabs on the back of the headlight that'll align with the headlight bucket. Now, once that's in place, what we can do is grab our retainer ring and this is what's going to hold our headlight in place. Once that's lined up and we have a retainer ring on, what we can do is install our factory screws with whatever tool that you need. Again, I'm going to be using that Phillips head screwdriver, but you may be using the T-15 Torx. After that's on there, what we can do is repeat that process on the other side. We can adjust them and then we can pop our grille back on.So before you go ahead and reinstall your grille, you do wanna make sure that your headlights are adjusted properly and how you can do this is just by turning on the headlights, putting them up against a blank wall and adjusting them with the adjuster screw depending on which way that you have to go, you can either loosen or tighten that screw on the headlight bucket. It's gonna be on the right hand side and you'll need a T-15 Torx socket in order to adjust that. However, once they are adjusted, what we can do is take our grille, line this up at the bottom, give it a good push, make sure that it's seated and then we can grab our factory clips and pop them back into place.Once those are secure up top, we can reinstall our turn signal wiring harness, and we'll be all good to go. We can just take our wiring harness, plug that in and make sure that it clicks. Set that red locking tab. We're gonna repeat that same thing for the other side and then close up our hood and we'll be all set. So that is going to wrap it up for my review and install.
